Workshop Dates

Future dates are currently being arranged

The topic(s) discussed/explored in the early session will be chosen from:- Design Principles, Tonal Studies, Application methods (e.g. Wet in Wet, Dry on Wet, Gradation, Washes and Glazing), Colour Theory, Equipment and Materials and, if required, revision on “Value Pattern sketches”. Exercises will be provided to accompany topics. Attendees are invited to bring along a photo of a subject* they would like to paint - a selection is provided if preferred. Ideas on planning before painting will be discussed. *Best subjects to bring at this stage are outdoor subjects or still life (not portraits – these will be covered later). Those wishing to concentrate more on drawing can work on still life studies and other sketching exercises to help develop this skill.

Cost: £35 per person

Spaces will be restricted to allow a more personal experience and will be reserved on a "first come first served" basis (with £15 deposit). Therefore please email Ian as soon as possible, saying which dates you wish to attend, to ensure you don't miss out. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits available. Please bring your own lunch. If you are unable to attend this particular Workshop but would be interested in future ones, then please do email so you can remain on the distribution list. It would be appreciated if you can forward this invitation on to others you feel may be interested in this and/or future Workshops - thank-you.
